Secure Systems

Security is of the utmost importance to us, and we have taken many steps to ensure the security of our system. Our servers have been set up with an emphasis on security and performance that conform fully to industry standards and best practices. We swiftly install all the latest patches and service packs, which are first installed on a testing platform and fully tested. Once the patches pass our testing, they are implemented on the live servers.

To help with security, performance, and scalability, our network consists of three separate and distinct layers. This is done to mitigate risk and to implement different levels of security for each layer. These layers are protected by a firewall to prevent attacks from the outside. In addition, the firewall is set up to limit the communication between the three layers through specified ports to prevent internal attacks.

The first layer is the B2B layer. This layer is the interface between the SMSLottoMe network and the SMS gateways. All incoming SMS messages must come through this layer. We perform IP restrictions to ensure that all incoming messages originate from the SMS gateways. In addition, this layer is the only point of access from the outside world for the second layer, the data warehouse layer..

The data warehouse layer contains the SMSLottoMe databases and the Random Number Generator that is used to create the winning numbers. The databases contain information on plays, winning numbers, and claims. The claim information is encrypted with RSA Triple Encryption, along with a private/public key encoding, to ensure that only select people have the ability to decrypt the claim information. The Random Number Generator is produced by Protego Information AB, which has passed the most stringent testing (such as Diehard's) to ensure the numbers are random, unpredictable, and unable to be influenced.

The final layer is the public layer, which includes the web servers that house the branded public website and the online management system. Players use the public website to view their plays and make any claims on their winnings. All communication involving claim information is secured with 128-bit SSL Encryption. In addition, there are many checks along the claim process to ensure that no data is faked. In addition, the entire online management system is secured by HTTPS.
